The Challenge The side profile of this home in Fairfield suffered from heavy green algae and moss buildup due to dense tree cover blocking direct sunlight. Green organic growth had completely coated the white window frames, vertical trim, outer corners, and grey vinyl shake siding. High-pressure washing on shingle-style siding carries a high risk of forcing water underneath the lap seams or blowing out window seals, making standard power washing unsafe for this surface.

The Solution We performed a targeted exterior soft wash treatment to completely eliminate the organic growth down to the spore level without using damaging pressure.

• Biodegradable Soft Wash Algaecide: Applied a dedicated cleaning solution to kill the green mold, mildew, and algae rooted in the textured shake siding and window trim.

• Gentle Low-Pressure Rinse: Safely flushed away all organic staining and surface grime, keeping the building envelope water-tight and intact.

• Trim & Accent Restoration: Completely restored the discolored green window casings and corner trim back to clean, bright white.

The Results The soft wash completely eliminated the heavy green algae buildup, leaving the grey shake siding completely spotless and restoring bright contrast to the white trim—instantly revitalizing the home's exterior protection and curb appeal.
