Our team recently tackled a targeted exterior home restoration project in Hamden, Connecticut, addressing advanced wood rot caused by classic New England seasonal weathering. By replacing damaged materials with high-quality wood patching, we restored both the structural integrity and curb appeal of the property. Siding Repair & Moisture Protection: We cut away water-damaged exterior siding directly above the concrete foundation and steps. The decayed sections were replaced with clean wood patching carefully fitted around the existing exhaust vent, sealing out pests and preventing future water infiltration. Roofline & Fascia Board Replacement: The roofline overhang was suffering from severe fascia rot and deteriorating decorative gable trim, leaving the interior rafters completely exposed to the elements. We stripped away the crumbling trim and completely rebuilt the architectural profile using custom-cut plywood, creating a weather-tight seal that is ready for priming and painting.
