Challenge
Gerry M. from Avon met MDF Painting at the Hartford Home Show. The back of his home had a deck and pergola that had started to peel. After speaking about this issue with our painting experts, MDF scheduled an estimate to look at the deck in person and discuss Gerry's staining job.
Solution
Painters started with a thorough power wash job that included a cleaning mix. Surfaces with heavy foot traffic like a deck or patio need all the dirt removed to prevent peeling issues. They then sanded all the areas where the paint was faded or peeling. Gerry and his wife chose Sherwin William's shade King's Canyon (SW3026) Superdeck in a solid finish. They loved the results of this stain color!
